Cognitive Processing Therapy

Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) is a blend of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, where you will learn to challenge negative thoughts and behaviors, and Exposure Therapy, where you will learn to conquer the traumatic experiences of your past and grow into a person who is not defined by their trauma.

According to the American Psychological Association, CPT has been proven to be effective in reducing symptoms of PTSD that have developed after experiencing a variety of traumatic events including child abuse, combat, sexual assault and natural disasters.

CPT is generally delivered over 12-16 sessions and can help you create a new understanding and conceptualization of the traumatic event so that the trauma reduces its ongoing negative effects on your life and you take back your power over your future.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Skills

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) was created by psychologist Marsha Linehan to treat Borderline Personality Disorder and suicidal thoughts.

Today, DBT is used to treat self-harm, depression, some personality disorders, and help with emotional regulation and social skills, among many other concerns.

We teach and use DBT skills to help our clients build their ability to tolerate stressful situations, communicate their needs to others, handle tough emotions, and practice mindfulness.
